Your wedding day is one of the most special days in your life………….  It was incredibly important to us that we captured it in a way that reminded us just how magical the whole event was. We watched many of our friends videos and with respect to them we realised that it was easier said than done to make a video of your special day that really reminds you of just how amazing it all was and captures the joy in all its glory.

After a lot of research, cost comparisons and general homework we came across Couture Wedding Films. We organised an introductory meeting in a convenient location with Owner Atilla and chief photographer Martin. To say we immediately felt at ease would be an understatement- from the moment introductions were made we knew we were in safe hands.

I was amazed that part of the process was a pre- wedding shoot day – this was designed so we could get used to working with Martin and so we could feel comfortable on our big day. We chose Isabella plantation in Richmond Park but there were so many different wonderful locations to choose from.

We spent the afternoon and much of the evening on site having photos in various locations and soon got used to Martin’s style. I was utterly amazed at Martin and Atilla’s attention to detail and commitment despite arctic temperatures. What Martin can’t do with a camera simply isn’t worth knowing.

5 days or so later we received the shoot photos. We were so happy with what we received. My wife has never had a problem looking amazing in photos, what amazed me was I looked pretty good too, they are truly magicians.

For the wedding we had two photographers, a cinematographer and a licensed drone pilot. The whole day went off without a hitch. The whole team were an utter pleasure to deal with and they really took the stress out of the logistics of herding family and friends into various positions.

We are now in possession of the finished article which consists of a video documenting the event, a highlights video and a beautiful photo album. Every time we watch it, it takes us right back to the day. It’s a wonderful thing to be able to share with our family and friends. Thanks to Martin, Atilla and the team it’s something we’ll be able to treasure forever.

So thank you Couture Wedding Films, I really can’t recommend you enough!

The Story

Mariella and Bert have chosen us for their wedding on the 11th May 2018. As part of their selected wedding package we included a complimentary engagement/ pre-wedding shoot. The couple chose the Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park as the location for the shoot.

On March 25th 2018, our lead photographer – Martin – and our Director – Atilla – met up with Mariella & Bert at Richmond Park for the relaxed sunset shoot. Unfortunately for the team, winter didn’t seem to want to go away, so the start of the shoot was in overcast conditions. To compensate for the lack of beautiful light, our creative team, used off camera flash techniques to mimic the golden light of a sunset.

The team had a lot of fun with the happy couple and after getting some stunning images in the Isabella Plantation, the team headed into the bushy area on a hill to capture some of the rich colours in the sky peaking through the clouds. As it started to drizzle, Atilla lent the couple his umbrella, while Martin attached some fairy lights to it for a whimsical shoot.

When the team packed up the gear and thanked the couple for the enjoyable shoot and headed back to the car park, Martin suddenly noticed that the tree line ahead had turned bright red. Turning around they were greeted with a dramatic beautiful red sunset.  Our team just had to get the shot of the couple enjoying the beautiful scene.

All in all it was a great shoot, with our clients over the moon with the results. We can’t wait to capture their wedding in May!

The Story

The creative brief for the wedding film was to make it magical, ethereal and romantic. For this wedding, we booked in one of our top cinematographers, Matt, to cover the wedding of Jonathan & Harpreet on the 7th October 2017. The setting was at the fairytale like Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire.

We started the morning covering the the outside shots of the venue and the groomsmen taking in the stunning Vista.

By 12 o’clock Matt started taking some of the stunning drone shots of the venue you can see in the video. As the bride was just in her wedding gown Matt focused his attention on the bride and the details before making his way to the groom. After the bride and groom prep was done he made his way to the entrance and worked on in the suite surrounded by the medieval suits of Armour and sampling the tasty food. Following this, Matt, captured the beautiful setting of the ceremony room before prepping the cameras for the big moment.

Followed by the flower girl and beautiful bridesmaids, the bride made her grand entrance with her father, while Jon the groom waited with anxious excitement.

Matt made sure to capture their joyous union from all angles. The newlyweds then made their exit to a shower of multicoloured rose petals. The groomsmen and groom made their way to the cannons outside for a fun photoshoot whilst Matt went on to capture the rest of the stunning interior.

Following this, Matt captured the couple strolling through the beautiful gardens for their couple shoot. Matt then captured the couples entrance to the wedding breakfast whilst also capturing the guests enjoying the festivities in a documentary style. Captured the speeches which were full of laughter and joy. Finally it was time for the reception, where the couple changed into traditional hindi dress.Following a procession of drums the groom cut the cake with a medieval sword and then the couple had their first dance on a dance floor shrouded in smoke. At the end the guests, carrying sparklers, and couple made their way to the cannons which were fired off in a traditional ceremony done at the castle.

All in all it was a true fairytale wedding and then team thoroughly enjoyed capturing this amazing celebration. We would like to say a big thank you to Jonathan and Harpreet for inviting us to film their wedding. It was a beautiful and spectacular wedding.

The Story
The creative brief for the wedding film was to make it as fun & artistic as possible, not like the standard classical short film.  For this very unique wedding, we booked in our top videographers (Sam and Troy) to cover the wedding of Nic & Tash on the 21st October 2017. Additionally we brought on our director, Atilla, to man the fixed camera and an additional freelance operator to focus on capturing the smaller details of the day. The setting was at the world famous St Pancras Renaissance Hotel.

We started early in the morning before the bride and groom and their families arrived with filming the stunning hotel and it’s surrounding area. Then the team began to set up for the ceremony making sure sound and lighting were perfect. As guests and groom started to arrive half the team split up to film the groom and his family and the other half went to film the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready.

With all the guests finally seated, the ceremony began in the afternoon and as the father of the bride escorted the bride down the aisle the team were in place to capture the ceremony from all angles.

The ceremony began with speeches from the father of the groom and one of the families uncles and also the sister of the bride. After the civil ceremony had finished, the father of the groom instructed the groom to conduct the Jewish tradition of the groom breaking a glass with his right foot symbolising the absolute finality of the marital covenant.

With the ceremony over the bride and groom and family and friends joined them for photographs on the legendary staircase of the hotel which was the scene for the famous Spice Girls Song ‘Wanna be’.

By the evening the bride and groom were joined by their friends and family for the performances on stage by the wonderful acts followed by the traditional Salem song and dancing on chairs and then speeches by the family and the couples first dance and the cutting of the cake.

We would like to say a big thank you to Tash and Nic for inviting us to film their wedding. It was a beautiful and very original day.

The Story
The creative brief for the wedding film was to make it magical, ethereal and romantic but with a hint of music festival madness. For this very unique wedding, we booked in our two top videographers (Sam and Matt) to cover the wedding of Caroline & Mark on the 26th August 2017. The setting was a remote woodland, far away from any civilisation or amenities. This presented a unique set of challenges to the organisers meaning they had to bring in power, toilets, catering, accommodation (tents) and a covered venue in the form of a huge tipi.

We started the morning covering the bride and groom prep, along with the venue and the surrounds. By 12 o’clock the guests were beginning to arrive. Sam concentrated on filming the guests and getting the reaction shots before going to set up the audio and video for the main ceremony. Matt stayed with Caroline to get the final moments of her prep.

The ceremony went off with only one minor hitch, one of the benches collapsed which caused a particularly funny scene of guests sprawled on the floor which made it into the film. After the ceremony the couple and the party were lead down to another area of the forest for drinks and the most amazing selection of snacks (Homemade sausage rolls, scotch eggs and rustic breads). During this time, we took the couple off into the forest to film some detail shots of the couple.

Towards the later afternoon we took the kit up to the tipi to set up for the speeches, dances and cake cutting. Later into the evening the fire was lit and we had a lot of fun throwing logs into it to try and get the sparks in the air. Just before sunset we left the woodland to the adjoining field to fly the drone.

The setting looked idyllic with the golden hour sun bathing the woodland scene and the fire lighting up the wedding scene.

By the end of the evening we were very tired, a long 12 hour day running round a forest with cameras certainly takes it out of you. We said our goodbyes just as the party was starting to turn a bit more raucous and barring a slight issue of being blocked in the carpark, we made it home without a hitch.

We would like to say a big thank you to Caroline and Mark for inviting us to film their wedding. It was a beautiful and very original day.

The Story

Gareth and Yildiz chose us for their wedding on the 19th August 2017.  Their ceremony & reception was held at the beautiful Forty Hall Banqueting Suite, in North London. Our couple opted for two wedding videographers and they wanted us to capture their day from the bride and groom preparations through to their first dance at the reception.

We started at the Bride’s house where her family had gathered to begin the celebrations on her big day! We utilised the beautiful natural light in the Bride’s bedroom to capture shots of the final touches of her hair and make-up. As she slipped in to her dress we headed downstairs to capture shots of all her family members who had travelled from far and wide to be a part of the wedding.

Even with a one-man crew we were keen to capture shots of both the Bride and Groom getting ready and soon as we had plenty of shots with the Bride recorded, our videographer jumped in the car and raced across to capture the final parts of the Groom’s preparation. The boys were keen to get the finishing touches of their cuff-links and pocket squares captured so that they could move on to the most important part of the day, a beer and kick about in the garden!

Leaving just ahead of the Groom we arrived at the venue and launched our aerial drone camera to get footage while the sun was shining and the beautiful venue was empty.

As guests began to arrive we headed into the ceremony room to prepare our 3 camera setup to capture the ceremony and it was not long at all before the Bride was at the door and the ceremony commenced.

With the ‘I do’s’ complete, we joined the photographers and took the couple out in to the gardens to film a few special moments in slow-motion as an extra touch for their final film.

With the gardens bathed in summer sunshine we followed the guests outside to capture some laughs and smiles as they all enjoyed their cocktails, not forgetting to capture all the special little details (like a help yourself pick and mix sweet stand) that the Bride and Groom had organised.

After a lovely dinner, everyone was in party mood and after speeches were completed the guests rushed on to the dance floor where a mix of traditional and more contemporary dancing took place throughout the evening!

The evening finished with a ceremony traditional for the Bride’s family of pinning money on to the dress. We know that these parts of the day are truly special for the couple so stayed late to ensure this was all captured for the couple to watch back and enjoy.

The Story

Abi and Chris chose us for their wedding on the 20th August 2017.  Their ceremony & reception was held at the beautiful Oaklands in Yorkshire. Our couple opted for two wedding videographers and they wanted us to capture their day from the bridal and groom preparations through to their first dance at the reception.

It was a glorious Yorkshire summer morning as the team headed up North to capture Chris and Abi’s big day!

On this occasion as we had a two man team, they split up so that equal time could be given to capturing the Bride and Groom’s preparation. Over at the Bride’s, the girls were enjoying a relaxed morning and our wedding videographer took his time to capture all the little details as the girls got their hair and make up done. With preparation complete and dress on, the champagne started to flow. The Father of the Bride was on chauffeur duty and headed outside to add a ribbon and bow to a special Pink Land Rover organised to transport the Bride to the venue.

The Bride and Groom had chosen the gorgeous Oaklands for their big day, nestled in the woodland this is a very popular venue amongst wedding videographers and couples alike!

As the guests arrived one of our team captured the cocktails and chatting before the ceremony, whilst the other set up all the cameras and audio for the ceremony.  By the water the Bride and Groom exchanged their vows and then headed into the surrounding gardens for family photos in the sun!

With such a beautiful venue the team couldn’t resist capturing it from the air and they organised an extra special shot for the couple. With a little help from the ushers, the guests organised themselves in formation to spell out the letters “C + A” when seen from the air.

Soon it was time for speeches and we used four camera’s to ensure all the key moments were captured properly and after a delicious wedding breakfast a special surprise was organised for the first dance in the woodland surrounded by fairly lights, which made for some very special cinematic footage!

Soon everyone was back on the dance floor and the great live band got everyone up and dancing. After the team captured everyone’s best moves they headed outside to get the final few details of the night including a specially organised mobile pizza van which was very well received!

The Story

Olanda and James chose us for their wedding celebration in July 2017.  The ceremony was held at the beautiful Holy Trinity Sutton Cornfield Church and the reception at the stunning New Hall & Spa Hotel, Birmingham. Our couple wanted us to capture their day from the bridal prep at the Bride’s home through to their first dance at the reception.

A two-person videography team travelled up from London to the Birmingham early on a Saturday morning. We arrived early to have a look at the Church and then separated as one videographer headed to join the Bride and Bridesmaids to capture their preparations, with the other travelling over to the Groom’s house.

Spending just over an hour with both the Bride and Groom we were able to capture all the important moments and key details on the morning of their wedding, including all the finishing touches of the make-up, giving of gifts and glasses of champagne to get in to the wedding mood!

Leaving just before the Bride and Groom we made our way to the Church to set up for the ceremony and to capture the Bride’s big arrival. The stunning Holy Trinity Parish Church nestled in the heart of Sutton Coldfield was an amazing venue for the ceremony with it’s high ceiling and beautiful adornments providing lots of cinematic potential!

We captured the ceremony using four video camera’s to ensure that we could include not only the Bride, Groom and Priest but also capture all the family and friends that had come from far and wide to witness the couple exchange their vow. After a lovely ceremony the wedding party headed out in to the sunshine to congratulate the newly weds. While the photographers took their group shots, we captured the couple chatting with all their guests and relaxing ready for the evening celebrations ahead!

After capturing the Bride and Groom making their exit in a beautiful vintage car, we headed swiftly to the reception venue. Before celebrations got fully underway we spent time capturing aerial footage of the venue in the summer sunshine using our drone. Drinks began to flow and we mingled in the gardens making sure we were able to capture shots of everyone who was there, this time using long lenses so that we weren’t being too obtrusive and could blend into the background.

After the couple and wedding party had enjoyed their delicious wedding breakfast, we teamed up with the photographers to take the couple out into the very photogenic surrounding gardens to get footage of the pair together. This is always a very informal session and using a mix of stabilisers, prime lenses and drone cameras we gathered some extra footage of the couple enjoying some relaxed moments away from the main wedding party which make a lovely addition to a wedding film.

The Bouquet was thrown, the cake was cut and soon it was time for the first dance! We used three cameras to capture it, to ensure we had a good mix of close up as well as wider shots of the couple, whilst also seeing the reactions of the crowd gathered around the dance floor. It wasn’t long before the party was underway and soon the dance floor was packed and we weaved our way in and around the dance floor we captured all the best moves from the night!

Overall the day was a major success, with our clients overjoyed with their videos and the way we captured their special day.

Where to start with Couture Wedding Films?! Initially didn’t budget for a video on our big day – however so glad we did! Professional and personable, could not have asked for any more from the team and that was just on the day. When we received our highlight video, realised that was one of the best investments we’ve ever made. Would most definitely recommend the package with 2 x videographers for the day. Quality of the video was another wedding gift within itself. Captured moments we otherwise would never have seen along with awesome drone footage. Planning a wedding can at times feel like pain in the you know what.. however when you find a company like Couture Wedding Films who are not only awesome but also deliver, makes it all worthwhile! These guys are worth every penny! And their custom USB/ presentation box was sick! Loved it.
