Photographic Styles

When it comes to photographic styles, we have no specific preference. We are happy to use one, or multiple different styles, that you like best or are appropriate to the environment.

To give you some ideas, we have listed some of the most popular styles our lovely couples have chosen in the past.

Romantic Style

The romantic style is best described as soft and whimsical. Romantic style shoots suit rustic wedding venues and nature backdrops. When edited, we like to give the images warm soft tones and textures.

Creative Style

This style incorporates advanced camera and flash techniques to create compelling and creative effects.

We can incorporate the use of off-camera flash, portable studio strobes and softboxes, long exposures, crystals / prisms / fairy lights for special effects, and much more.

In the pursuit of getting the shot, our photographers will make best use of the environment to enhance the photo. For example, working with unusual perspectives or reflections.

The idea is to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Photojournalistic/Documentary Style

Wedding Photojournalism requires your photographer to be aware of the surroundings, have knowledge of human tendencies and execute patience. Each image captures an emotion, tells a story, or portrays a mood or feeling. It is all about anticipating that smile, laugh, tear or hug.

We define photojournalism as placing ourselves in the right place at the right time, anticipating expressions of emotion and being ready to document events with an eye for storytelling. This style of photography suits more recreational moments, such during the ceremony, reception or the wedding breakfast.
